About the Environmental Officer
The Environmental Officer is the site's eyes and ears for environmental performance. Working alongside the HSE team, engineers and subcontractors, the officer turns the project's environmental commitments into daily practice — checking work areas, raising observations when something falls short, and following each one until it is closed.
The role connects the field to the paperwork: inspection findings feed the monthly Environmental & Sustainability Report, open items are tracked in the monthly environmental meeting, and permits and attendance records are kept ready for client and authority audits.
Good environmental management on a construction site is mostly prevention — a covered stockpile, a drip tray under a generator, a segregated skip. The officer's job is to make those habits routine for everyone on site.
